Speech Sound Mastery
Help your child produce sounds clearly and confidently through play-based therapy techniques.
Learn MoreIf everyday moments — getting dressed, holding a crayon, sitting through circle time, tolerating tags or textures — feel harder for your child than they should, an occupational therapy evaluation is the clearest first step. It is a structured, play-based assessment by a licensed pediatric Occupational Therapist that answers one question: how is your child's development supporting their everyday participation, and where do they need help?
A pediatric OT evaluation combines parent interview, structured play, clinical observation, and standardized assessment. Your therapist looks at how your child moves, plays, regulates, and manages age-appropriate daily tasks — in the setting where those skills actually happen. Because we evaluate in your home or via telehealth, your child is assessed where they are most comfortable, which produces a more accurate picture than an unfamiliar office.
Therapy Clubhouse serves families in Westlake Village and nearby Southern California communities through pediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, Early Intervention support, in-home therapy, telehealth, and clinic-based care.

Depending on your child's age and your concerns, the evaluation may look at fine motor development, gross motor coordination and motor planning, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, handwriting readiness, self-care skills like dressing and feeding, and regulation during routines and transitions. If communication concerns come up, we may also recommend a speech and language evaluation — many children benefit from looking at both together.
Parents usually notice patterns before anyone names them: meltdowns around clothing or grooming, avoiding coloring and cutting, trouble with utensils, frequent crashing or constant movement, difficulty with transitions, or skills that lag behind peers at preschool or school. You do not need a diagnosis or a referral to ask the question — if something feels harder than it should be, an evaluation gives you clarity either way.
You receive a written report in plain language: your child's strengths, any areas of delay, and a specific recommendation. If occupational therapy is recommended, we set measurable goals and a session schedule with you. If it is not, we tell you that honestly and give you milestones to watch. Either way, you leave knowing exactly where your child stands and what to do next.
Many families use insurance, private pay, or Regional Center funding to cover evaluations — children under 3 may qualify for no-cost Early Start evaluations through Tri-Counties Regional Center.
