Oak Park Unified offers OT to special education students as one of its Designated Instruction and Services, alongside speech and adapted PE.

The district describes a range of settings. They run from full inclusion with support as needed to part-time pull-out into special education classes. The district says a student with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity, including learning, may require a Section 504 plan. It describes a 504 plan as reasonable accommodations, reviewed every year with parents and teachers.

Oak Park Unified's Pupil Services office is on Conifer Street. With your consent, our therapist can coordinate with your child's school team.

Can toddlers in Oak Park get OT?

Yes. We see children from birth, and Early Start through Tri-Counties Regional Center is an option for children under 3 who qualify.

Early Start serves babies and toddlers from birth to 36 months and is coordinated by regional centers together with school districts. Therapy Clubhouse is a Tri-Counties provider.
