What can pediatric speech and occupational therapy help my Agoura Hills child with?
Speech therapy helps with late talking, unclear speech, stuttering, apraxia, social communication, and AAC for children who are minimally speaking. How do I know if it’s time to get help?
Trust what you notice: few words by age two, speech strangers can’t understand by three, a fight over handwriting, big reactions to sound or textures, or lost skills. You don’t need a diagnosis to ask, and noticing early is a strength, not an overreaction. The NIDCD notes 8 to 9% of young children have a speech sound disorder, these differences are common and very workable.

Yes. The 15-minute consultation is genuinely free and comes with no obligation, a conversation with a licensed therapist to answer your questions and suggest a next step. It is not an evaluation. If therapy is a fit, the next step is a comprehensive, play-based evaluation (we are private pay and out of network, and we provide superbills you can submit for possible reimbursement) that maps your child’s strengths and needs. No diagnosis is required to begin.
Can you support my child’s Las Virgenes school or IEP?
Yes. Private therapy works alongside school services. Our occupational therapist has years of school-based experience and knows the IEP process, and private one-on-one sessions are more frequent and individualized than most school support. Many Agoura Hills families use both together.
What if my child is under 3?
Children from birth to 36 months may qualify for Early Start through Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC), and Therapy Clubhouse is a vendored TCRC provider. Because the earliest years are when development moves fastest, about 1 in 6 children ages 3 to 17 has a developmental disability (CDC), starting early opens more doors. Here’s how Early Start works.
