Pediatric Speech & Occupational Therapy Services in Westlake Village

For many parents, the search for therapy begins quietly. A child may not be talking yet. Mealtimes may feel stressful every single day. Preschool teachers may notice challenges with transitions, participation, or communication long before a formal evaluation happens. Sometimes families simply feel that something is harder than it should be, even if they cannot fully explain why. At Therapy Clubhouse, we provide pediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, and early intervention services for children throughout Westlake Village, Ventura County, the Conejo Valley, and nearby Los Angeles County communities. Our practice works exclusively with children ages 0 to 18, which means every part of the experience is thoughtfully designed around pediatric development, family support, and the unique needs of growing children. Our care is intentionally focused on three specialized areas: pediatric speech therapy, pediatric occupational therapy, and Early Start services through Tri-Counties Regional Center. This focused approach allows therapy to stay highly specialized, practical, and connected to the real concerns families face in everyday life. At Therapy Clubhouse, our goal is not just to provide therapy — it’s to help children build meaningful skills while supporting families in ways that feel practical, compassionate, and sustainable over time.

Pediatric Speech Therapy

Communication affects almost every part of a child’s daily life. It shapes how they ask for help, connect with others during play, participate at school, and express feelings like frustration, excitement, comfort, or joy. When communication feels difficult, families often notice more than delayed speech alone. A child may become frustrated during routines, struggle to join conversations, or clearly want to connect with others but have trouble expressing what they are trying to say. At Therapy Clubhouse, speech therapy is designed to support communication in ways that feel meaningful outside of the therapy room. For some children, that may mean learning how to request favorite toys or activities during play. For others, it may involve improving speech clarity so they can be understood more easily by teachers, friends, and family members. Some children may need support participating in conversations with more confidence and less frustration or overwhelm. Because every child communicates differently, therapy is always individualized to their specific strengths and needs. Some children benefit most from highly interactive, play-based sessions, while others need more structured support with articulation, fluency, expressive language, or social communication. Our therapists focus not only on specific speech and language skills, but also on how communication impacts a child’s everyday experiences and relationships. We also provide specialized speech and occupational therapy for autistic children, with goals shaped around each child’s communication style and sensory profile. Speech therapy services may support: Parents are an important part of the process because communication grows most naturally through everyday interactions with the people children feel safest and most connected to. If you are unsure where to begin, a pediatric speech and language evaluation can help clarify your child’s strengths and needs.

Pediatric occupational therapist helping a child build daily living skills in Westlake Village

Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Many occupational therapy concerns first appear during ordinary routines. A child may struggle to sit comfortably during meals, become overwhelmed during transitions that seem manageable for other children their age, or avoid activities like messy play altogether. Other children may constantly seek movement and physical input throughout the day. Occupational therapy helps children participate more comfortably in the environments they move through every day. That may involve building fine motor coordination for school tasks, supporting sensory regulation during routines, or helping children become more independent during dressing, play, and other daily activities. At Therapy Clubhouse, occupational therapy is designed to feel supportive, engaging, and child-centered, not overly clinical. Children learn through movement, interaction, repetition, and exploration. Sessions may look playful from the outside, but each activity is carefully chosen to support meaningful developmental goals tied to real-life participation. Some children need help strengthening foundational motor skills before school expectations increase. Others are working toward smoother routines at home so daily life feels less stressful for the whole family. Therapy goals are built around those practical concerns, focusing on skills that make a meaningful difference in a child’s world. Occupational therapy services may support:
  • Sensory processing differences
  • Fine motor development
  • Handwriting readiness
  • Self-care and daily living skills
  • Visual motor integration
  • Regulation during routines and transitions
If you are unsure where to begin, a pediatric occupational therapy evaluation can clarify your child’s strengths and needs. Progress often happens gradually. Small changes in confidence, participation, and independence can create meaningful shifts in how a child experiences daily life over time.

Early Intervention Through Tri-Counties Regional Center

Early Intervention is one of the most important parts of what Therapy Clubhouse provides. We are contracted providers with Tri-Counties Regional Center for Early Start speech therapy and occupational therapy services. For many families, this becomes their first introduction to developmental support services. That stage can feel emotional for parents. Families are often navigating referrals, evaluations, and unfamiliar recommendations while still trying to understand their child’s needs in everyday life. Therapy Clubhouse helps make that process feel more approachable by focusing on practical guidance and family-centered support from the very beginning. Young children develop through relationships and repetition during ordinary routines at home. Because of that, Early Intervention therapy should not feel disconnected from family life. A communication goal may develop during snack time or play. Sensory support may happen during transitions that already challenge the child every day. Therapy becomes most meaningful when it fits naturally into the child’s existing environment rather than feeling separate from it. Children receiving Early Start services may need support with communication, sensory regulation, play skills, or participation during routines. Our therapists help families understand what those goals mean in real terms so progress feels visible and manageable over time.

Early Intervention services may include:

  • Early Start speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy for infants and toddlers
  • Parent coaching and developmental guidance
  • In-home therapy services
  • Telehealth Early Intervention support
  • Clinic-based pediatric therapy (coming Fall 2026) in Westlake Village
Because Therapy Clubhouse focuses only on pediatric therapy, families receive care from a team deeply familiar with early childhood development and the unique concerns that arise during the first few years of life.
Child connecting with a pediatric therapist through telehealth

In-Home, Telehealth, and Clinic-based therapy (coming Fall 2026) Options

Therapy works best when families can realistically maintain consistency. Some children thrive in a familiar home environment where routines already happen naturally. Others focus better inside a structured clinic setting. Certain families need telehealth flexibility because schedules, transportation, or distance make in-person visits difficult every week. Therapy Clubhouse offers pediatric speech therapy and occupational therapy through in-home visits, telehealth sessions, and appointments in our upcoming Upcoming Westlake Village clinic. We help families choose the setting that best supports both the child and the practical realities of daily life. Home-based sessions allow therapists to see challenges within the child’s actual environment. Clinic sessions at our upcoming Westlake Village location (Fall 2026) can provide structure and focused therapeutic activities. Telehealth often creates opportunities for parent coaching and routine-based support that families can apply immediately throughout the week. The setting may change, but the purpose remains the same. Therapy should help children participate more comfortably in everyday life while giving families tools that feel useful outside the session itself.
