Four things that make us different

The short version of how we work, and why it works for kids.

Care that comes to you

In-home and telehealth therapy means your child learns in the place they are most comfortable: no commute, no crowded waiting room. We are currently accepting new families, and our Westlake Village clinic opens November 1, 2026 for families who prefer an in-clinic option.

A Tri-Counties Regional Center Early Start provider

We are a contracted TCRC vendor for Early Start and Early Intervention, delivered in person for children from birth to three. Few local practices offer this pathway, and if your child qualifies, you can request us by name through your service coordinator.

Founded and led by experienced clinicians

Your child works with seasoned professionals, not rotating staff: a certified speech-language pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP) and a licensed occupational therapist (MA, OTR/L) with advanced training in sensory integration. Everything is explained in plain language.

Parents are part of the process

You are in the session, not the waiting room. We coach you with simple, doable strategies so progress continues during everyday routines like meals, play, and bedtime.

Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP and Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L, founders of Therapy Clubhouse

Founded by two clinicians who are also mothers

Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP and Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L built Therapy Clubhouse to be the kind of practice they would want for their own children: play-based, individualized, and grounded in each child’s real goals, with families across Ventura County and west Los Angeles County.

Childhood development, by the numbers

Developmental and communication differences are a common part of childhood, and early support matters.

1 in 6children ages 3 to 17 (17.3%) has a developmental disability
1 in 12has a disorder related to voice, speech, language, or swallowing (7.7%)
1 in 31eight-year-olds (3.2%) is identified with autism spectrum disorder
8 to 9%of young children have speech sound disorders, and 5 to 10% of children stutter

Sources: the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders. Across all of these areas, early speech and occupational therapy give children the best opportunity to build skills during the years when development moves fastest.
