Therapy Clubhouse provides in-home and telehealth pediatric speech therapy and occupational therapy to families in Studio City, for children from birth to 18. A licensed speech-language pathologist or occupational therapist comes to your home, and the first 15-minute consultation is free. Children under three may qualify for Early Start. Regional centers and public school districts coordinate it.
The move from elementary school to Reed can be a big step
If there is one thing worth knowing about growing up in Studio City, it is the size of the step between elementary and middle school.
Walter Reed Middle School, where Studio City children can go next, had over fifteen hundred students in the 2025-26 school year.
That transition can feel exciting and a little scary. If a child has any difficulty in language, organization, or sensory regulation, the change can make earlier coping strategies harder to use.
In a K-5 setting, one teacher can hold the whole picture of your child. That teacher may notice when a child is lost, offer a prompt without being asked, and remember what has helped before.
From sixth grade, that single adult can be replaced by a different teacher for each class period. There may be no single adult who holds the whole picture, and the prompting may stop. The environment can get louder, more crowded and less predictable, and the demands on independent organization can rise at the same time.
Parents may notice a child who was doing well and is suddenly not. That can happen when the support around a child is taken away.

As of October 2026, in-home and telehealth families can expect an evaluation within 3 business days of the free call. A first session can be as soon as 5 days after calling. On request, an evaluation can be done in a private office on Townsgate Road in Westlake Village.
Who treats your child
Speech work is provided by Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP, a licensed speech-language pathologist holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Occupational therapy is provided by Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L, a licensed and registered occupational therapist. Both visit homes in Studio City.
How in-home works here
Studio City is in our home-visit area. We come to you, and we work in the room where a challenge shows up, so skills can be practiced where they are needed.
Telehealth is a genuine option rather than a fallback, particularly for older children, for articulation and fluency work, and for families whose week does not reliably survive a fixed afternoon slot. We will tell you which we think fits.
If your child is under three
You can contact the regional center that serves your address to ask about Early Start. A child may qualify with a 25% delay in one or more areas of development, with a combination of biomedical risk factors, or with an established risk condition.
If you want the district to assess
Studio City is inside Los Angeles Unified. Put any request for assessment in writing rather than raising it verbally. From a dated written request the district has 15 calendar days to provide an assessment plan, you have at least 15 calendar days to decide whether to sign, and 60 calendar days then run from your signature to the assessments being completed and the meeting held. Breaks longer than five school days pause that clock.
The edges of what we do
We do not provide applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy or counseling, music therapy, or nutrition services, and we do not diagnose autism, ADHD or any other condition. We describe what we observe, put it in writing, and refer onward where that is the right answer.
