Pediatric Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy in Sherman Oaks, CA
Pediatric speech therapy and occupational therapy for Sherman Oaks families
Therapy Clubhouse is a pediatric only practice serving children from birth to eighteen. We provide speech therapy and occupational therapy, and the clinician who evaluates your child is the clinician who treats them. No handoff after assessment. Call (805) 702-3427 for a free fifteen minute consultation with a licensed clinician. As of October 2026, there is no waiting list here for in-home or telehealth therapy. There is no obligation, and you get a reply within one business day. Sherman Oaks is in our home-visit area, so sessions can happen in your home. Video sessions are available too, and you can move between video and home visits whenever you like. Your child must be physically located in California during any telehealth session. If you are anywhere else in California, or simply prefer video sessions, we also provide online speech and occupational therapy across California. Two services, each with its own page. Pediatric speech therapy in Sherman Oaks covers late talking, unclear speech sounds, stuttering, language comprehension and social communication. Pediatric occupational therapy in Sherman Oaks covers handwriting and fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination and daily independence. Evaluations have separate pages: speech evaluation in Sherman Oaks and OT evaluation in Sherman Oaks.

Schools and funding in Sherman Oaks
Sherman Oaks is part of Los Angeles Unified School District, and a child is assigned a school based on the home address. When you request a district assessment, LAUSD answers a specific legal question, which is whether a difficulty is affecting your child educationally. That is narrower than whether your child would benefit from therapy. A child who falls short of the district threshold may still benefit from support.
Federal special education law still applies to private school students. Each public school district must locate, identify, and evaluate children with disabilities whose parents enroll them in private elementary and secondary schools in its area. A private evaluation is a separate choice, and you can make it at any time.
Children under three who qualify can get Early Start through the regional center that serves your address. Responsibility shifts toward the district at the third birthday. We will be straight with you about Regional Center funding. Sherman Oaks is in Los Angeles County. North Los Angeles County Regional Center serves Sherman Oaks. We are a Tri-Counties Regional Center provider, and Tri-Counties covers Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties rather than Los Angeles County. That means Sherman Oaks families use insurance through Village or pay privately with us. We would rather tell you this upfront than after an evaluation.
You can use insurance through Village or pay privately with a superbill. We provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for possible out of network reimbursement, and we will never claim to be in network with a plan when we are not. Payment options.
What we do not provide
Speech therapy and occupational therapy only. We do not provide applied behavior analysis, mental health counseling or psychological testing, and we are pediatric only so we are not the right call for an adult. We refer out rather than take an appointment we cannot serve well.
Questions Sherman Oaks families ask
Yes. Sherman Oaks is in our home-visit area. Call and we will tell you which times are open.
It can work well for speech and language goals. Motor and sensory work is harder by video because a camera cannot feel resistance or steady a wrist, and we will say so if in person would serve your child better. How our telehealth works.
Not with us. We are a Tri-Counties provider, and Tri-Counties does not serve Sherman Oaks. Ask us and we will explain the options honestly rather than leave you to find out later.
A licensed therapist reads your message and replies within one business day. The first call is a conversation about your child, not a sales pitch.
