Therapy Clubhouse provides pediatric speech therapy and occupational therapy, including feeding therapy, for children from birth to 18 in Westlake Village and nearby communities. We come to your home or your child's school in the towns listed on our Areas We Serve page, or meet by video when your child is in California. Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP, and Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L, founded the practice; both are licensed clinicians and mothers who continue to see families themselves. In Ventura County, we are a contracted Early Start provider with Tri-Counties Regional Center. As of October 2026, there is no waiting list here for in-home or telehealth therapy.

Therapy Clubhouse supports children across a wide range of developmental needs through pediatric speech therapy and occupational therapy. Our team works with children ages 0 to 18 at home and at school or daycare in our home-visit area, and by telehealth when the child is in California. We keep therapy focused on the skills children use every day, including communication, sensory regulation, movement, school readiness, play, and independence.
Speech and Language Delays
Speech and language delays can make everyday moments harder for a child and more stressful for parents. A child may have trouble using words, understanding directions, answering questions, combining phrases, or communicating clearly enough for others to understand. Therapy Clubhouse helps children build communication step by step through pediatric speech therapy that feels natural, encouraging, and connected to real life. Our goal is to help children express themselves with more confidence at home, in school, and in the community.

Sensory Processing Differences
A child may become overwhelmed by sounds, textures, movement, clothing, grooming, or busy environments. Another child may seek constant motion, pressure, climbing, or sensory input. These sensory differences can affect transitions, meals, play, sleep routines, school participation, and family outings. Therapy Clubhouse provides pediatric occupational therapy that helps families understand their child’s sensory needs and build practical strategies for regulation. We focus on helping children feel safer, calmer, and more comfortable moving through everyday routines.

Fine and Gross Motor Delays
Motor delays can affect how a child plays, moves, explores, uses their hands, and participates in daily activities. Fine motor challenges may show up during grasping, drawing, dressing, or using classroom tools, while gross motor coordination concerns may affect balance, posture, body awareness, or confidence during play. Therapy Clubhouse supports these skills through pediatric occupational therapy that targets functional movement, coordination, and participation. We help children build the strength, control, and confidence they need for age-appropriate routines.

School Readiness and Learning Support
School readiness involves more than academic knowledge. Children also need communication skills, fine motor control, attention, social participation, self-regulation, and the ability to follow routines. Therapy Clubhouse supports children as they prepare for preschool, kindergarten, and classroom participation through speech therapy and occupational therapy tailored to developmental needs. We help children build the foundation for learning so they can participate with more confidence, independence, and success.

Developmental Delays in Early Childhood
Early childhood developmental delays can affect communication, movement, play, sensory regulation, and daily routines. In Ventura County, children under 3 who qualify may receive Early Start services through Tri-Counties Regional Center, where Therapy Clubhouse is a contracted provider. If your family is in a time of uncertainty, our role is to make the process feel clearer. We help children build meaningful skills early while giving parents practical guidance they can use at home.

Your First Visit
What to Expect at Your Child's First Visit
Your child’s first visit at Therapy Clubhouse is designed to feel welcoming, calm, and easy to understand. We take time to learn about your child’s strengths, your concerns, your family routines, and the specific skills you want support with. Depending on your child’s needs, the first appointment may include observation, parent conversation, play-based interaction, informal skill checks, and a review of any referral information or previous evaluations. Our goal is not to overwhelm your child or rush your family through a checklist. We want to understand how your child communicates, moves, plays, responds to sensory input, participates in routines, and engages with the world around them. From there, we explain what therapy may look like, what goals may be appropriate, and how speech therapy or occupational therapy can support your child in daily life.

Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist. Nita helps children from birth to 18 build communication, language, articulation, and social skills through warm, play-based, family-included therapy.
Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist. Rachel helps children develop the motor, sensory, and everyday-living skills they need to participate fully at home, at school, and at play.

Insurance, Regional Center and Payment Options
Families reach us three ways. You can use your insurance through Village, a pediatric provider network that holds the insurance contracts and handles benefits and billing while your child is seen by our therapists. In Ventura County, if your child is under 3 and qualifies, you can come through Tri-Counties Regional Center, where Therapy Clubhouse is a contracted provider for Early Start and Early Intervention. Or you can pay privately, and we are happy to provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Village confirms your plan, your benefits and your location before anything begins, so you know where you stand first.

What ages do you work with?
We provide pediatric speech therapy and occupational therapy for children from birth to age 18.
When should a child see a speech therapist or an occupational therapist?
There is no minimum age, and you do not need to be certain something is wrong before you ask. If your child is not reaching milestones you expected, or everyday moments such as talking, eating, dressing or handwriting have become a struggle, an evaluation is how you find out what is going on. The CDC puts it plainly: "If you're concerned about your child's development, don't wait. You know your child best." No diagnosis or referral is needed to start with a free 15-minute call.
Where can my child receive therapy?
In-home, in-school and California telehealth sessions are available now. On request, an evaluation can be done in a private office on Townsgate Road (Westlake Village). The clinic at 2535 Townsgate Road in Westlake Village opens December 1, 2026.
Is there a waitlist?
No, not for in-home or telehealth therapy, as of October 2026. Families who want care only at our clinic in Westlake Village, which opens December 1, 2026, can sign up for clinic opening updates.

Can we use insurance, and what does it cost?
Coverage depends on your plan, and cost depends on how you pay. Insurance is billed through our partner Village, which works with TRICARE and with PPO plans from several major insurers and charges its own fee for each visit. You may also pay privately and receive a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. In Ventura County, a child under 3 who qualifies may receive Early Start services through Tri-Counties Regional Center. We go over your options on the free 15-minute call, and your coverage and cost are confirmed before you commit to anything.
