Your week is already full. And the hardest moments for your child happen at circle time, at the craft table, or at lunch, not at home. Speech and occupational therapy at school or daycare brings the therapist to where your child spends the day. That way, skills are practiced where they are needed. With your written consent and the school's agreement, sessions can happen at your child's public or private school, preschool, or daycare. No diagnosis or referral is needed.
How does therapy at school or daycare work?
Sessions happen during the school day, in a room the school provides. We see children at public and private schools, preschools, and daycares.
First, you give us your written consent. Then we speak with the school to set a time and a room, and we make sure the room is right for the session.
Your therapist shares practical strategies with school staff, so support carries through the day.
Who is therapy at school a good fit for?
Busy families who can't add another stop to the week, and children whose goals show up most at school.

Preschoolers who do well with short, frequent sessions in a familiar routine can be a good fit too. Many families combine school sessions with home or telehealth visits.
Can private therapy work alongside an IEP?
Yes. School district services and private therapy answer different questions. An IEP supports a child's access to education. Private therapy can work on the wider goals your family cares about.

How do I set up therapy at my child's school?
Start with a free 15-minute consultation and tell us where your child goes to school or daycare.
Free 15-minute consultation
You talk with a licensed therapist about what you are noticing at home and at school. If we don't think an evaluation is needed yet, we will say so.
Evaluation within 3 business days
If an evaluation is the right next step, it is scheduled within 3 business days of your consultation. It is a play-based look at your child's skills, and you are part of it. It usually takes 60 to 90 minutes.
Written report and recommendation
Within 14 business days, you get the written evaluation, and a clear treatment plan if therapy is recommended. The plan sets graduation goals: the skills that show a child is ready to finish therapy.
Parent coaching
Your plan includes parent coaching. You learn how the school goals fit into mornings, evenings, and weekends at home.
Sessions
Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the service.
Who would my child work with?
Therapy Clubhouse is led by its two co-founders, a licensed speech-language pathologist and a licensed occupational therapist.
Speech therapy for late talkers, speech sounds, stuttering, and myofunctional therapy.
Occupational therapy for handwriting, sensory needs, feeding, and everyday skills.
How much does therapy at school cost, and can I use insurance?
Coverage depends on your plan. You can use your insurance through our partner, Village, which handles the billing. Village accepts PPO plans from several major insurers, and TRICARE.
Village also charges its own fee for each visit, in addition to your copay or deductible. Before therapy starts, Village goes over the expected cost with you.
We are waiting to become in network with major insurance companies. Until then, Village is how insurance works with us.
You can also pay privately, and we give you a superbill to send to your plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. On the free 15-minute call, we check your coverage before you commit to anything.
What else do parents ask about therapy at school?
Does this replace school-based services?
No. It can work alongside services your child already gets at school, or give private support on its own. We will help you find the right fit.
What ages do you serve?
Children from birth to 18, at public and private schools, preschools, and daycares.
Who sets it up with the school?
We do. Once you give your written consent, we speak with the school, agree on a time, and make sure the room is right for the session.
Do you work with teachers?
Yes. With your permission, we work with teachers and staff so support is consistent across the day.
Is the free call the same as an evaluation?
No. The free 15-minute call answers your questions and points you to the right next step. It is not an evaluation. If therapy looks like a fit, the evaluation comes next.
