Who founded Therapy Clubhouse?
Two licensed clinicians founded Therapy Clubhouse, and both treat children themselves. Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist. She leads speech therapy. Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist. She leads occupational therapy. Both hold California licenses. When a child needs both kinds of therapy, the two of them build one shared plan.
CCC-SLP is the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. It comes from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). OTR/L means Occupational Therapist, Registered and Licensed. Registered means certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Licensed means licensed by the state.
What services does Therapy Clubhouse offer?
Therapy Clubhouse offers two kinds of therapy: speech-language therapy and occupational therapy (OT). Here is the full list of services.
- Speech and language: language therapy, articulation (speech sounds), childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, and myofunctional therapy.
- OT: handwriting and fine motor skills, and sensory integration.
- Feeding therapy, led by a speech-language pathologist or an occupational therapist, depending on the child.
- Therapy for developmental delays.
- Social skills: social communication therapy and small social skills groups.
- Evaluations: speech evaluations and OT evaluations.
- Parent coaching, which is part of every child’s plan.
- Therapy at school or daycare.
- Early intervention for children under 3.
- Speech therapy and OT for autistic children.
Feeding therapy is offered. Children with complex swallowing problems are referred to a specialist partner. Therapy Clubhouse does not provide ABA, behavioral therapy, counseling, physical therapy, or nutrition services. If a child needs one of these, the team will say so and help the family find a referral.
Therapy Clubhouse builds every child’s plan and goals around one aim: graduating from speech or occupational therapy.
Where does Therapy Clubhouse see children?
Therapists see children at home, at school or daycare, and by video (telehealth). A private office in Westlake Village is available on request. Telehealth works anywhere in California. During each video session, the child must be in California, because the therapists hold California licenses.
The clinic opens December 1, 2026, at 2535 Townsgate Road, Suite 110, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Clinic-based care begins when it opens, and home visits and telehealth continue after that. Social skills groups meet now in a private office on Townsgate Road. They move to the clinic when it opens.
Home and school visits cover communities in Ventura County and Los Angeles County, including:
Agoura Hills, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Burbank, Calabasas, Camarillo, Canoga Park, Century City, Chatsworth, Culver City, Encino, Granada Hills, Hidden Hills, Hollywood Hills, Lake Balboa, Lake Sherwood, Malibu, Mar Vista, Moorpark, Newbury Park, North Hollywood, Northridge, Oak Park, Oxnard, Pacific Palisades, Palms, Port Hueneme, Porter Ranch, Reseda, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Simi Valley, Studio City, Tarzana, Thousand Oaks, Toluca Lake, Topanga, Valley Glen, Valley Village, Van Nuys, Ventura, West Hills, West Hollywood, West Los Angeles, Westlake Village, Westwood, Winnetka, and Woodland Hills.

Does Therapy Clubhouse take insurance?
Yes, through a partner company called Village. Therapy Clubhouse is not in network with any insurance company. It is not contracted with any insurer or listed in any insurer’s directory. Village holds the insurance contracts and handles the billing. Therapy Clubhouse therapists provide the care.
Through Village, families can use TRICARE. They can also use a PPO plan from one of these insurers: Blue Shield of California, UnitedHealthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna Healthcare, and Aetna. Village also charges its own fee for each visit, called a Non-Covered Service Fee. Families pay it in addition to any copay, coinsurance, or deductible. Village goes over the expected cost with the family before services start. Coverage depends on each family’s plan. How the Village arrangement works is explained on the insurance through Village page.
Families can also pay privately. They receive a superbill to send to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How much does Therapy Clubhouse cost?
Therapy Clubhouse does not publish prices online. What a family pays depends on how it pays: insurance through Village, private pay, or regional center funding for children who qualify. Coverage is checked before the family commits to anything. See insurance, regional center, and payment options.
Does Therapy Clubhouse have a waiting list?
Not for home or telehealth therapy. As of October 2026, families can start those without a wait. An evaluation is scheduled within 3 business days of the free consultation. The written report follows within 14 business days, with a treatment plan if therapy is recommended.
Care at the Westlake Village clinic begins when it opens on December 1, 2026. Families who want care only at the clinic can sign up for clinic opening updates.
Is Therapy Clubhouse a regional center provider?
Yes. Therapy Clubhouse is a contracted provider with Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC) for Early Start. TCRC serves Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties. Children under 3 may qualify for Early Start services through TCRC. California’s Early Start program does not charge for the evaluation or for service coordination. Families may need to use insurance for ongoing therapy. TCRC does not serve Los Angeles County. Therapy Clubhouse can help a family there find out which regional center covers its address.
How do families get started?
Families start with a free 15-minute consultation with a licensed therapist. They can call or text (805) 702-3427, email info@therapyclubhouse.com, or use the form on the contact page. A licensed therapist reads every message and writes back within one business day. During business hours, calls are returned within an hour. No diagnosis or referral is needed.
Parents who are not sure yet can try the free two-minute Milestone Check. It uses CDC milestones for ages 2 months to 5 years. Pediatricians, schools, and regional center coordinators can use the Refer a Patient page.
