Maybe your child's teacher mentioned at a conference that recess is hard, or that group work keeps falling apart. Or maybe you have watched your child want friends and not know how to join in. Speech and occupational therapy in Beverly Hills can begin at home or at school. One of our licensed therapists, a speech-language pathologist or an occupational therapist, can see your child at any age from birth to 18. Sessions happen in your Beverly Hills home, in the classroom, or through the laptop. No diagnosis or referral is needed. You are welcome to call on your own.

Can a therapist come to our Beverly Hills home?

Yes. Beverly Hills homes are within our visit area, and with your written consent, so is your child's school, preschool, or daycare.

Beverly Hills has been a city since January 28, 1914. Its public schools belong to Beverly Hills Unified. Los Angeles Unified also lists the city as partly within its boundaries, so the district depends on your address.

Nearby, our visits also cover Century City, West Hollywood, and Bel Air.

Which school district and regional center serve Beverly Hills?

Beverly Hills Unified serves students who live inside its residency boundaries, and its School Finder App checks whether an address is inside them. Westside Regional Center lists Beverly Hills, ZIP codes 90210 to 90212, in its service area.

    Elementary campuses

El Rodeo Elementary on North Whittier Drive and Horace Mann Elementary on Charleville Boulevard are two of the district's elementary schools.

    Support at school

The district's Student Services page explains IEP eligibility and its Student Success Team process. To request a special education assessment, start with your child's school.

    Preschool

Since a 2026 agreement between the city and the school district, Beverly Hills Preschool is run by the district. Its classrooms are on the Hawthorne and Horace Mann campuses.

    Regional center intake

Westside Regional Center starts with an online intake referral. Early Start covers birth to 3, and the Lanterman Program serves older children.

The Beverly Hills Public Library is on North Rexford Drive.

How do we start speech and occupational therapy in Beverly Hills?

You call or send a message, and a licensed therapist sets up a free 15-minute consultation. If the two of you agree an evaluation comes next, it is scheduled within 3 business days.

Beverly Hills evaluations can happen at home, at your child's school, or by video. They are play-based and usually take 60 to 90 minutes. Here is how a speech evaluation works, and here is how an OT evaluation works. Expect the written findings, with a treatment plan if therapy is recommended, no later than 14 business days after.

Which of your services reach Beverly Hills homes and schools?

All but one. Social skills groups are held in Westlake Village. For now they meet at a Townsgate Road office, and later in the clinic that opens on December 1.

Everything else comes to Beverly Hills. That includes social communication therapy for kids learning the unwritten rules of play, plus handwriting and fine motor therapy and feeding therapy at home. Our two co-founders guide the work in Beverly Hills, as they do everywhere. Nita Anavim, M.S., CCC-SLP, leads the speech side, and Rachel Yashouafar, MA, OTR/L, the OT side. See every service we offer.

How do Beverly Hills parents pay for therapy?

Coverage varies by plan. Our partner Village accepts TRICARE, along with PPO plans from several major insurers. Village also charges Beverly Hills families a visit fee of its own, beyond the copay or deductible.

We partner with Tri-Counties Regional Center, whose area runs from Ventura County north to San Luis Obispo County. It does not reach Beverly Hills. Here the two paths are Village or private pay, and private pay includes a superbill your plan may partly reimburse. Read how the Village billing works and our complete payment options.

Any other questions from Beverly Hills families?

Do you have an office in Beverly Hills?

No. Beverly Hills children get therapy at home, at school, or on video. Our clinic is farther west, in Westlake Village, and its doors open December 1, 2026.

Could sessions happen at El Rodeo, Horace Mann, or a private school?

Yes, once you sign a written consent and the school agrees. We phone the school, choose a time, and confirm a room that works. Preschools and daycares can host sessions too.

Do you work on friendships and social skills?

Yes. One-on-one social communication therapy focuses on the unwritten rules of conversation and play. If a group would help, our social skills groups run in Westlake Village for ages 18 months to 18.

“Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving “bye bye” are called developmental milestones.”

    CDC, CDC's Developmental Milestones

Over a 12-month period, about one in 14 American kids between 3 and 17 has a voice, speech, or language disorder, the NIDCD reports.

If friendships, school, or everyday routines feel harder for your child than they should, that matters. We're glad to listen and help you think it through.
