Maybe your child understands two languages but says little in either. Or maybe the pediatrician asked about speech at the last checkup. Pediatric speech therapy in Beverly Hills can be scheduled in your own home. A speech-language pathologist's job is to help a child understand others, put ideas into words, and say sounds clearly. Play and real talk are the tools. Parents get simple ways to support talking each day. No diagnosis or referral is needed.

Does speech therapy reach Beverly Hills homes and campuses?

It does. Our therapists cover Beverly Hills for home visits, and video is available too.

With your written consent and the school's okay, sessions can also happen at a preschool, daycare, or school in Beverly Hills. We set the time with staff and confirm the room. The evaluation itself can be held in your home, on the school campus, or by video call.

What does pediatric speech therapy in Beverly Hills treat?

Trouble understanding or using language, unclear speech sounds, stuttering, and social communication.

Stuttering and social communication are part of speech therapy, as is childhood apraxia of speech. So is language therapy for words and sentences, and articulation therapy for speech sounds. Myofunctional therapy is part of our speech work, and feeding therapy can be too.

Our child hears two languages. What should we know?

Raising a child in two languages does not cause developmental language disorder (DLD), according to the NIDCD. Local school and regional center materials come in several languages, too.

Beverly Hills Unified runs a Dual Language Academy with instruction in both Spanish and English. It starts in kindergarten or first grade and goes through grade 5. Its goal, the district says, is fluent bilingual students.

The Tri-City SELPA includes Beverly Hills Unified. It posts parent rights documents in languages including Spanish, Farsi, Hebrew, Japanese, and Korean. Westside Regional Center offers its Early Start booklet in English, Spanish, and Farsi.

On the free call, let us know which languages your child hears and uses.

What help is there for Beverly Hills babies and toddlers?

Early Start, through Westside Regional Center. The state's rule: a delay of at least a quarter (25 percent) in one area can make a child under 3 eligible. Receptive and expressive language are two of those areas.

When a child in Early Start is 30 to 32 months old, Westside Regional Center says, parents take part in a transition meeting. It brings together the local school district and the family's Early Start service coordinator.

The Tri-City SELPA Early Start Program serves children up to age 3 who live in the SELPA's districts, Beverly Hills Unified among them. It is for children with only a low incidence disability, like hearing loss, vision loss, or an orthopedic impairment. Some students have a hearing loss that affects school. For them, the SELPA's specialists and audiologist work on understanding language and listening, based on each student's needs.

How soon can a Beverly Hills child begin?

From the free consultation to the evaluation takes 3 business days at most. A Monday call, for example, can mean a Wednesday evaluation.

Therapy can begin as soon as five days after you call us, even before the report. The report is ready no more than 14 business days past the evaluation, with a treatment plan if therapy is recommended. Home and video speech therapy has no waiting list as of October 2026. Rush evaluations are possible.

How do Beverly Hills families pay for speech therapy?

Beverly Hills families use one of two paths: Village, our insurance partner, or private pay with a superbill. Coverage is set by your plan.

Village accepts TRICARE. PPO plans from several major insurers qualify as well, and Village adds its own fee to every visit. A superbill from private pay can be sent to your insurer, which may reimburse part of it. Learn more about Village insurance, or see every payment option.

Beverly Hills parents ask about speech

Can parents get involved in special education planning beyond our own child?

Yes. The Tri-City SELPA's Community Advisory Committee includes parents of children with special needs in public or private schools. Its rules call for regular meetings at least twice a year.

Is it the same therapist at every visit?

Yes. One therapist works with your child at every session.

Do we have to choose between school services and private therapy?

No. Both can happen. Give us written consent, and our team can work with the school.

We offer speech therapy in Culver City, Brentwood, and Bel Air too. If your Beverly Hills child needs occupational therapy, we offer that here as well, and the Beverly Hills page has the rest.
