Maybe your two-year-old has only a handful of words. Or maybe your kindergartner's friends keep asking, "What did you say?" Pediatric speech therapy in Hidden Hills can take place in your own home. With speech therapy, a child meets one-on-one with a licensed speech-language pathologist. Together they work on sounds, words, sentences, and smooth, easy talking, mostly through play. Parents learn small ways to help. No diagnosis or referral is needed.

Can the speech therapist come to our Hidden Hills house?

Yes. Home visits are available in Hidden Hills, and so are video sessions.

With the school's agreement and your written consent, sessions can be held at a Las Virgenes Unified campus or another public or private school, preschool, or daycare. Our team arranges the time and makes sure the room works.

Our clinic on Townsgate Road opens December 1, 2026. Whenever you like, you can also ask to hold the evaluation in a private Townsgate Road office.

What does pediatric speech therapy in Hidden Hills work on?

Late talking, unclear speech sounds, stuttering, trouble planning speech movements, and social communication. Children of every age up to 18 are seen.

Language therapy covers understanding words and using them, while articulation therapy covers sounds. For a child who stutters, there is stuttering and fluency therapy. For childhood apraxia of speech, therapy practices the movement plans for words. Social communication therapy works on the back-and-forth of conversation.

Feeding therapy and myofunctional therapy can be led by a speech-language pathologist too.

How does school speech help work in Hidden Hills?

Hidden Hills is inside Las Virgenes Unified's boundaries, and the district is a member of the Ventura County SELPA. To start a school assessment, the SELPA says to send a written request.

Your request for an assessment should be in writing, list what worries you, and carry your signature and the date. A principal or a school psychologist is a good person to receive it, the SELPA says.

Private speech therapy can run next to school services. If you agree in writing, our therapist can talk with the school's speech-language pathologist.

Which regional center covers Hidden Hills toddlers?

It can be either of two. Westside Regional Center and North Los Angeles County Regional Center both list ZIP code 91302. Your address decides which one serves you.

At Westside, families with a developmental concern begin with the Intake Department. North Los Angeles County Regional Center says that anyone can refer a child to Early Start, and that an eligibility decision may take as long as 45 days.

Tri-Counties Regional Center is the regional center we work with. It does not cover Hidden Hills, which is in Los Angeles County. Hidden Hills toddlers can still start private speech therapy with us.

How fast can a Hidden Hills child begin?

A call on Monday can lead to an evaluation on Wednesday. Hidden Hills families do not wait on a list (true as of October 2026).

The first session may come 5 days after your call, ahead of the written report. That report, with a treatment plan if therapy is recommended, is ready in 14 business days or fewer after the evaluation. If timing matters, ask us for a rush evaluation.

Can we use insurance for speech therapy in Hidden Hills?

Yes, through Village, our billing partner, if your plan is one it accepts. During the free call, we review your coverage.

Village takes TRICARE, and its PPO options come from several major insurers. A Village fee is added to each visit. The other route is private pay, with a superbill from us for your insurer. See insurance through Village and all the ways to pay.

Hidden Hills parents ask about speech

Is there a minimum age?

No. Babies can be seen, and a child under 3 may also be eligible for Early Start through a regional center.

How long is a session?

Between half an hour and an hour, based on the service. The evaluation is longer, about 60 to 90 minutes.

What if my child turns out not to need therapy?

Then we will tell you so directly, and you will know where things stand.

Speech therapy also comes to Agoura Hills, Calabasas, and Westlake Village. Hidden Hills children can get occupational therapy as well. For social skills groups on Townsgate Road and everything else, start at the Hidden Hills page.
